Lhiannan
![]() | More a druidic sect then a vampiric clan, the Lhiannan are the Celtic druids of ancient Disciplines: Animalism, Presence, Ogham Nickname: Druids, Savages |
Dark ages
Even in times as early
as the dark ages, the Lhiannan were on the brink of extinction. Due to
their unnatural auras which made them easy targets for inquisitors and
their ties to their land, the Lhiannan were nearing the end, and they
knew it.
Modern day
N/A Have gone extinct long before the modern days.
Embraces
The Lhiannan mainly
embraced those who themselves embraced the old ways in life, of
blessing crops and praying to spirits to keep the winters mild. But
this kind of person was dwindling, as inquisitors and priests rooted
out any who denied Christendom. As with some of the other bloodlines
across the globe, most (though by far not all) Lhiannan are females, as
these are seen as stronger practitioners of the ancient magic of the
Lhiannan.
Havens
Most Lhiannan live in
sanctuaries out in the wild, where they are kept safe from the sun yet
remain within close proximity of the wilderness they so revere.
Lhiannan make a special habit out of taking sacred sites where the
energy of the world flows strong, even if this means driving off the
original inhabitants.
As a clan
The clan was spread
among 3 factions, the warrior, the druid and the gatherer. Each of
these factions frequently argued with the other about the “true way” to
follow the old beliefs. In the end, this fragmented nature of the clan
only contributed to it’s downfall. Other then this, all Lhiannan
greatly revered the land they lived upon. The plants, the animals, the
kind of attitude one would expect from a new age hippy or neo-druid.
They also frequently preformed pagan rituals such as blood sacrifice.
Strength
The
strength of the clan Lhiannan came from their unique discipline of
Ogham, which allowed them to manipulate celtic runes and other forms of
druidic mysticism.
Weakness
The weaknesses of the
Lhiannan are many. Firstly, the Lhiannan become weaker as they move
further away from their territories. Even their Ogham discipline when
teached to vampires of other clans are not very useful outside that
vampires’ territory. Their second weakness is their aura, which is so
potent they cannot hide it from most. Even mortals who have only been
slightly touched by magic is capable of seeing a Lhiannan as a
supernatural. Thirdly, whenever a Lhiannan embraces a childe, the sire
becomes significantly weaker. Lastly, all Lhiannan are innately pagans,
and because of this are much less capable of resisting Faith based
magic then other vampires.
