Kiasyd
One of the most eccentric of vampires, the Kiasyd are chroniclers and lore keepers unmatched. Their creation, supposedly the result of a mixture of Lasombra and Fae blood, is shrouded in much mystery, though all can agree the clan was not active in the world until at least the dark ages. Having an insatiable appetite for knowledge, the Kiasyd possibly have gathered and studied more vampire lore then most Methuselah can speak of. Disciplines: Dominate, Obtenebration, Mytherceria Nickname: Wierdlings

Dark Ages
It was during the year 1215 that the Kiasyd revealed themselves. They conquered the city of Strausberg away from the Ventrue. Since this event, the bloodline slowly spread, though quietly and slowly.
Modern Days
Having spend untold
years gathering knowledge, the Kiasyd have more knowledge of lost lore
and forgotten legends then any other clan in existence. Though
nominally allied with the often brutal Sabbat, the Kiasyd prefer to
stick to their studies in isolation and retain great parts of their
humanity. Though some of the clans in the Sabbat look down on them for
this, the Lasombra know the true value of these allies, and often make
visits to the local Kiasyd to study among them or learn of secrets to
defeat foes. Regardless of this, many Kiasyd share no affiliation with
either the Sabbat or Camarilla, instead pursuing their personal goal of
to learn and conserve knowledge throughout the ages.
Embraces
As the Kiasyd are known
as lore seekers as well as being an unusually polite clan of vampires,
only the intelligent and polite are embraced. Sire and childe will
often stay together for lengthy amounts of time after the embrace, as
the childe studies under it’s sire for as long as 50 years. Eventually
however, the childe will seek a solitary haven.
Havens
Permanent havens are
quite important to the Kiasyd, who can spend decades studying lost
lore. Museums, libraries or historical ruins, typically places where
their studies can be preformed in peace are highly valued. Also, Kiasyd
are highly territorial and the only time you will find more then one
Kiasyd in a single area will be if you find a sire and childe.
As a clan
The Kiasyd gather
frequently in order to exchange knowledge and lore. During these
gatherings, they might invite trustee’s or members of the Sabbat to
join these gatherings, though these are expected to act with respect
and be able to perform intelligent conversation. Any who break this
rule may find their punishment to be anything between an disapproving
sneer, to a unbreakable curse.
Strength
The strength of this
clan lies in that they are masters of both Obtenebration, the trademark
discipline of the Lasombra, and of their own unique discipline,
Mytherceria, which allows them to steal knowledge and gain powers often
attributed to the Fae folk.
Weakness
When a childe is
embraced by the Kiasyd, the transformation drives it insane. It must be
locked up for at least 2 days until the transformation is complete and
the childe has come to it’s senses. After this, the first weakness of
the Kiasyd shows. They will have grown quite a bit during the
transformation, towering above all but the tallest of mortals and
vampires. Their skin will have grown chalky white, and their eyes
elongated and turned utterly black, making them look as tall space
aliens, which ofcourse complicates their relationships with mortals.
Lastly, the Kiasyd also suffer from a weakness to Pure Iron. If they
are left contained in a room with Pure Iron, the Kiasyd will surely
frenzy after half an hour of being in proximity of the material. If
they touch Pure Iron, they will immediately be forced to resist frenzy.
If a Pure Iron weapon strikes them, it will deal Aggravated damage.
